Counselling For Children and Young People

Counselling for children and young people is currently in development as part of expanding clinical practice, and this service is expected to launch in Spring 2027.

Sessions will be available both online and in person from my therapy room in Totnes, Devon.

Offered to children and young people ages 9 to 17, the service will provide a safe and supportive space to explore a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life difficulties.

About Counselling for Young People

Sessions will be tailored to the individual needs of the young person, supporting them to express thoughts and feelings in a way that feels comfortable for them. This may include talking, creative approaches, or other age-appropriate methods of exploration.

The aim is to help young people feel heard, understood, and supported while developing coping strategies and emotional awareness.

Areas of Support

Counselling may support, but is not limited to, young people experiencing:

  • Anxiety and worry

  • Low mood or depression

  • Stress and overwhelm

  • Family or relationship difficulties

  • School-related pressures

  • Self-esteem and identity challenges

  • Bereavement or loss

  • Emotional regulation difficulties

Important Note

If a young person is experiencing difficulties, individual counselling for parents or carers may sometimes be appropriate in the meantime. You are welcome to get in touch to discuss what may be suitable.
