Couples and Relationship Therapy

Further specialist training is currently in development as part of expanding clinical practice, and this service is expected to launch in Spring 2027.

Sessions will be available both online and in person from my therapy room in Totnes, Devon.

Couples and relationship therapy focuses on supporting couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship, including communication breakdown, conflict, emotional disconnection, trust issues, and challenges linked to major life transitions.

About Couples Therapy

Couples therapy provides a structured and confidential space for both partners to explore relationship patterns, improve communication, and develop a deeper understanding of one another.

The aim is not to take sides, but to support the relationship as a whole, helping both partners feel heard, understood, and supported in working towards meaningful change.

Areas of Support

Couples therapy may support with:

  • Communication difficulties

  • Repeated conflict or arguments

  • Emotional distance or disconnection

  • Trust issues or relational repair

  • Life transitions affecting the relationship

  • Strengthening emotional intimacy and connection

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to couples work is informed by Gottman Level 1 and Level 2 clinical training, a widely respected, evidence-informed approach to understanding relationship dynamics and supporting repair and connection.

The Gottman Method focuses on strengthening friendship, improving conflict management, and building shared meaning within relationships.
